Guido Santini, FAO, Italy

Guido Santini holds an MSc degree in tropical agriculture obtained from the University of Florence (Italy) and the Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal). He has 20 years of work experience in international development cooperation, in headquarters as well as field offices, with UN agencies (FAO and UNDP) and research institutions in the areas of crop production, agricultural water management, climate change and natural resource management across countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Currently he is Programme Coordinator with FAO’s Plant Production and Protection Division where he leads a global workstream on sustainable crop and agri-food systems in city regions.
